The Step by Step of Working with a Social Distancing Solutions Company

Step 1: Initial Consultation

The first step in the process is a consultation. At this stage, it’s all about information-gathering. We need to know some initial details about your business premises and practices so we can get an idea of what your needs are. We can do this in person at the site (Step 2), by phone, or on Skype or Zoom—whatever is most convenient for you.

Step 2: Site Visit

Next, a ProExhibits project manager and accounts manager visit the site. They’ll take photos and measurements, and make detailed notes, to get all the information necessary to design your social distancing solutions.

During the same visit, the team will talk you through your options for each area where barriers need to be installed. They’ll make recommendations that combine your needs with their experience to make sure you get the most practical, cost-effective solutions for your spaces.

Step 3: Quote

Once our team has come up with a set of solutions, we’ll provide you with a detailed quote for the work. For larger jobs involving more than one area or location, we’ll break the quote down by location. Our quotes include:

  • Partitions and hardware
  • Delivery
  • Installation

They’re all-inclusive, so there are no hidden costs and no unpleasant surprises after the work is done.

We’ll also provide a detailed set of scale drawings of the acrylic partitions and mounting hardware. This will give you a good idea of how the finished installation will look. These drawings include details such as partition height and length and materials used. Where appropriate, we also include details of any required color-matching to existing materials. They also include locations and dimensions of any cut-outs or pass-throughs that are needed, like cut-outs for speaking holes or pass-throughs to provide access for item exchange.

Step 4: Contract

When you’re happy with the quote and have signed the contract, the team will devise a priority list for installation. This details all the items to be installed and the order in which they’ll be installed.

Using a priority list is particularly beneficial for larger projects and projects that involve multiple locations. Having this information helps us complete the work in a logical order. It also helps you keep your business premises running smoothly while the project is underway.

Step 5: Installation

Finally, it’s time for the installation. For most jobs, we recommend that a ProExhibits team delivers and installs all partitions. Large projects can be completed in phases, if necessary, to minimize on-site disruption.

In some cases, for instance a standard acrylic partition installation, the client may choose to self-install. Even if we don’t do the installation, we’ll provide detailed setup instructions to help you get the best result possible.

Installation in any case, should take no more than a day, unless the project is especially large.

Step 6: Maintenance

ProExhibits stands by its work. We offer a one-year warranty on hardware materials and installation, including posts, screws, and brackets.

The longevity of acrylic partitions is highly dependent on their care and maintenance. This means we can’t offer the same warranty on partitions. We do provide all clients with cleaning and maintenance instructions to help keep acrylic partitions in good shape and doing the job they’re designed for.
